Thrilling more than 8 million people worldwide since the show premiered in 1999, Dralion is the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil. The name Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”) is drawn from its two main symbols: the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West. Dralion derives much of its inspiration from Eastern philosophy with its perpetual quest for harmony between humankind and nature. The international cast features 52 world-class acrobats, gymnasts, musicians, singers and comedic characters.
Dralion™ is a signature Cirque du Soleil® production acclaimed by more than seven million people worldwide since it premiered in 1999 in Montreal, Canada. After many years performing under the big top, Dralion will now be presented in arenas throughout the United States and Canada, with the same quality performance.
Fusing the 3,000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion draws its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature. The show’s name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West. In Dralion, the four elements that govern the natural order take on a human form. Thus embodied, each element is represented by its own evocative colour: air is blue; water is green; fire is red; earth is ochre. In the world of Dralion, cultures blend, Man and Nature are one, and balance is achieved. Bearing the unmistakable signature of Cirque du Soleil and featuring 50 international acrobats, gymnasts, musicians and singers, Dralion soars to new heights as it defies the laws of nature.
The name speaks for itself bringing the reputation, the acrobatics, the showmanship, the costumes, the entertainment. It will surely be a memorable day for the whole family!

Habitat for Humanity London will collect ten million pennies

Elgin. Ten million pennies equates to $100,000 – the cost of the
materials required to build a home for a low-income family in our
community. “With the federal government announcement that the penny will
no longer be in production as of this fall, we’re calling on all
Londoners to donate pennies that have collected in their drawers, change
trays, and pockets, so that more low-income Canadian families can
receive the hand up of a home they can afford,” said Jeff Duncan, CEO,
